Biography

Davan So is Head of the Vietnam Desk at MLV Law Group. She is the firm’s dedicated point of contact for Vietnamese clients, Vietnam-based investors and Vietnam-linked businesses seeking practical legal support in Cambodia. Working in Khmer, Vietnamese and English, she connects incoming clients to the firm’s lawyers across company formation, investment and Qualified Investment Projects, real estate and property, transactions and regulation, restructuring, litigation and intellectual property — so that the first conversation is commercially fluent, culturally precise and correctly routed.

Ms. Davan brings more than seven years of business-development, sales and executive-operations experience across real estate brokerage, property rental, hospitality, printing services and digital-marketing consultation. That background is directly relevant to the Vietnam Desk mandate: she is practiced in international client consultation, relationship-building and negotiation, and in coordinating work between management, internal teams and clients until a matter is properly framed and moving. Educated in Ho Chi Minh City — with a Bachelor of Hotel Management from Finance & Marketing University (2014–2018) and earlier studies at College Far East (2011–2013) — she understands how Vietnamese principals assess risk, timing and counterparties when they look across the border into Cambodia.

Before joining MLV Law Group, Ms. So served as Executive Assistant to the Director at Sherpa Agent Co., Ltd. in Phnom Penh, supporting daily operations, team schedules and consultation of international clients on digital-marketing services. In parallel she provided freelance outdoor sales consulting for printing and related business services at VIP Cam Co., Ltd. From 2020 to 2025 she was a Senior Sales Representative at ERA Cambodia, developing client relationships on condominium and property projects, supporting sales campaigns and maintaining client databases. She has also operated independent real-estate brokerage and Airbnb rental services, and earlier delivered customer service in an international hospitality setting at Digby’s Bar & Grill / Do Forni at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra.
