Biography

Holding a Bachelor of Laws from the Royal University of Law and Economics and currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Private Law at the same institution, Mr. Kea has developed strong capabilities in legal research, document drafting and case preparation through continuous professional service since 2021. These foundational skills are applied across the full lifecycle of intellectual-property assets—from clearance searches and multi-class trademark filings (including under the Madrid System), through patent, utility-model and industrial-design applications before the Department of Industrial Property, to licensing, technology-transfer agreements, portfolio management and enforcement actions against infringement and counterfeiting.

At MLV Law Group, Mr. Kea contributes actively to the firm’s comprehensive Intellectual Property practice. He assists clients with trademark and patent prosecution, opposition and invalidation proceedings, customs recordation and border-measure strategies, and the intellectual-property dimensions of corporate, investment and commercial transactions. His work supports technology companies, brand owners, manufacturers, creative businesses and regional investors in navigating Cambodia’s IP registration systems administered by the Department of Intellectual Property (Ministry of Commerce) and the Department of Industrial Property (Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation), while protecting commercial value against unauthorised use.

Clients value his precision, responsiveness and ability to translate complex statutory and regulatory requirements under the Law on Marks, Trade Names and Acts of Unfair Competition, the Law on Patents, Utility Model Certificates and Industrial Designs, and related copyright frameworks into clear, commercially practical advice.
