Cambodia has a specific legislative framework for the prevention of domestic violence and the protection of victims (Law on the Prevention of Domestic Violence and the Protection of Victims). We assist victims in obtaining protection orders, emergency measures and related civil remedies, and we advise respondents on their rights and obligations in such proceedings. We also coordinate with the criminal process where the conduct constitutes an offence under the Criminal Code. In addition to court applications, we provide practical guidance on safety planning, evidence preservation, and the interaction between protection orders and ongoing family or immigration proceedings. Confidentiality and the safety of the client are paramount throughout.
