LITIGATION
Family Law Litigation
Family disputes that cannot be resolved amicably are determined by the Cambodian courts under the Civil Code of Cambodia (2007), particularly Book 7 on Family. We represent clients in contested divorce proceedings, disputes over parental authority and child custody, applications concerning the residence of children, and claims relating to the division of marital property. Proceedings require careful preparation of evidence on the grounds for divorce (where required), the best interests of the child, and the contribution of each spouse to the marital assets. We also handle related applications for interim measures, including temporary custody, exclusive use of the family home, and provisional maintenance. Our approach combines firm advocacy with sensitivity to the personal and cross-border dimensions that frequently arise when one or both parties are foreign nationals or when assets are located in more than one country.
