Spouses and prospective spouses may regulate their property relations by agreement under the Civil Code, subject to mandatory rules protecting the family and third parties. We draft and advise on prenuptial (antenuptial) and postnuptial agreements that set out the ownership and division of assets, maintenance arrangements, and other financial consequences of marriage or its dissolution. Proper formalities, full disclosure and independent legal advice for each party are important to the enforceability of such agreements. For international couples or those with significant assets in more than one country, we coordinate the Cambodian agreement with planning in other relevant jurisdictions so that the overall arrangement is coherent and effective.
